Promoting Your Good Work
A professional development conference call
from NCO & NETA
How do you help your public understand–and remember–the good work you do in public broadcasting? One answer is story-telling. Well-crafted stories promote and demonstrate the value of your work, and do it in a way that is memorable.
During the Promoting Your Good Work conference call, we will discuss the power of story-telling and methods of creating stories that gain attention within stations and communities. Panelists will share tips about what works for them and answer any questions you may have.
Panalists:
Anne Wilder, Station Relations and Communications Manager, NCO, anne.wilder@ncoengage.org
Leslie Rule, Project Supervisor Digital Storytelling Initiative, KQED, lrule@KQED.org
Jill Hubbs, Director, Educational Services and Outreach, WSRE, jhubbs@wsre.org
Cheryl Head, Vice President Public Media Engagement, CPB, CHead@cpb.org
To get the most from the conference call, print out the accompanying resources or have them available on your computer. You will want to refer to them during the presentations.
